Hey guys!
Check it out - I was interviewed for the Austin, TX magazine, Austin Chronicle! So was my friend and con chair of IkkiCon, Michael Laredo. This is the first print (as in published on paper) interview I've ever given so I'm kinda excited! It's also still so strange being the one interviewed. ;D

Got word that Mundania Press will release THE HOAX, sparkly new abridged and updated in the First Quarter 2010, round about February. Very excited, and there will be promos and prizes etc so stay tuned. For now, check out the fab new cover, by the lovely and talented Niki Browning. LOVE it!

Just jumping back to read the last few birthday entries I made. Honestly, not a lot has changed over the years. Certainly the lack of drugs and the diminished alcohol consumption have turned a few pages for me but I'm still more or less in the same book and even on the same chapter as 2002. Maybe it's just a longer read than I expected or maybe I am just that example of doing the same thing over and over with the expectation of a new result? Whatever the case, I'm alive and I'm doing what I can with what I have just the same as the next person. I believe that we are all at any given time doing what we honestly believe to be our best but I want to think there will be more than just that sense of plodding along this coming year. Better start figuring it out soon though cause I think this book is over due back at the library regardless.

| Anime South, Ikkicon and Holiday Madness |

Oh heavens! It's almost time! The next few weeks are going to be insane for me. I leave Friday morning for Anime South (I'd love to arrive Thursday, if someone happens to have a room I can crash in that night!), then drive to Orlando on Sunday, and head to my mom's in Ft. Lauderdale on Monday. Then, after Christmas, drive all the way back up to Atlanta and turn around two days later and drive to Houston for a day or two. Finally, arrive in Austin on the 30th for Ikkicon!
Crazy, huh?
I'm also doing two new costumes for South, and hoping to have at least one new Steampunk ensemble for Ikkicon. We'll see about that last one though. Depends if I bring my sewing machine down to mom's with me or not.

I don't know what days / times I'll be wearing which costumes, but I plan on bringing my Cavalier Steampunk, Steampunk Slave Leia, stripey skirt of awesomeness, Lynn Minmay, and Zero Suit Samus. I'd like to bring my Adventurer steampunk outfit, if I can make a new pair of pants in time.
